About Me
Hi, I'm Sayantan Ghorai, as a 1st year PhD Research scholar at Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, I am dedicated to advancing the field of Algebraic Number Theory through rigorous research and academic exploration. Under the guidance of Dr. Rupam Barman, I am committed to making significant contributions to the realm of mathematics.

My passion for Algebraic Number Theory drives my pursuit of knowledge and my aspiration to inspire future scholars in this field. I am focused on both theoretical foundations and practical applications, aiming to bridge the gap between academia and real-world impact.
Also, I am very much curious to explore Algebraic Geometry, Representation Theory related areas.
Achievements
1. Qualified IIT-JAM Mathematics (2023) with All India Rank 198.
2. I have qualified Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) JRF 2025 written and shortlisted for interview, also qualified CSIR NET exam.
3. Qualified IISER Pune written test & interview both and got offer for PhD in Mathematics, Aug 2025.
4. I got offer for M.Sc in Mathematics from IISER Kolkata and IISER Bhopal, July 2023.
5. I have received Merit Cum Means scholarship from IIT Madras during my 2 year of M.Sc for maintaining good academic performance and standing among top 10.
6. Also I have received Swami Vivekananda Merit Cum Means (SVMCM) during my higher secondary and B.Sc (2018- 23)
